Communication

We prioritise information and keep abreast of the main issues affecting general practice.
Our communications take various forms including:

-
The Worcestershire LMC Newsletter is distributed regularly to all on our distribution lists. It includes information about the latest national guidance and local developments.

-
Monthly LMC meetings with our representatives. Involves discussion and debate on local and national issues affecting GPs. Speakers may be invited. Minutes are taken.
Guidance

LMC guidance may be produced detailing the outcomes and/or actions practices should consider in relation to specific issues.

Provision of standardised letters for patients that can be used by practices eg Requests for Expedite, referral letters, school absences etc.

Our website is home to all our current contract guidance, reports, template letters, and includes an archive of our LMC agendas and newsletters. It also provides links to guidance produced by other organisations and wellbeing support.
When issues need broader debate, we organise meetings on a countywide basis and invite speakers from relevant organisations. Eg Safeworking, BMA guidance, National Contract meetings with GPCE attendance.
We respond to queries from individuals on a range of matters excluding HR matters.
