Who we are
The Worcestershire Local Medical Committee (LMC) plays a crucial role in representing and supporting general practitioners (GPs) and their practices within the Worcestershire area. Here’s an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the Worcestershire LMC Board:

Dr David Herold
WLMC Ltd Medical Director
I qualified from Birmingham University in 1991 and was a partner at the Riverside Surgery from 1997-2024. I continue to work as a GP locum predominantly in the Vale of Evesham PCN. I was lead dispensing GP at Riverside and maintain and active interest in dispensing.
Outside of work I am a keen cyclist and play golf. I have also done some amateur dramatics over the years.
Dr Matthew Davis

I am a GP Partner at Bewdley Medical Centre, part of Wyre Forest Health Partnership in Worcestershire, and have been a GP Partner for 22 years.
I bring a broad portfolio of clinical and leadership experience to the role of Medical Director and LMC Chairman — I have been a member of Worcestershire LMC for over 15 years and am committed to representing the interests of local GPs and primary care across the county.
Alongside my work in general practice, I hold a special interest in dermatology and sports and exercise medicine and have served as a Team Doctor for England Cricket.
I also contribute to clinical guideline development for Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICS.
As Chairman, I am passionate about championing sustainable general practice and working constructively with NHS partners to improve services for patients across the county.
Dr James Rayner

I am Dr James Rayner, I trained in Birmingham, and was raised in The Wyre Forest.
My roots remain tied to Worcestershire, where my extended family continues to live locally. I have been actively involved with Worcestershire LMC, representing Wyre Forest, for 10 years.
For the past 8 years, I have been a Partner at Aylmer Lodge Surgery in Kidderminster. In addition to my practice responsibilities, I am involved in GP registrar training and also the GP lead for diabetes at my practice.
I am married and a proud father of three children. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis and spending quality time with my family.
Mrs Tracey Summers

Hi, I’m Tracey and I have worked for the LMC since May 2022. My career has predominantly been in healthcare working in the Business and Finance sector. Starting in the NHS as an auditor, member of senior management within BUPA and Nuffield hospitals and a practice manager in Gloucestershire. In addition to this I have co-owned my own companies here in the UK and in the Canary Islands with my husband.
I live with my husband, my son, and our dog called Freddie, in rural Worcestershire. Outside of work I love spending time in the garden, walking the dog and visiting National Trust properties. Favourite band, Coldplay.

Dr Raveena Benney

I completed training in 2016 and was a salaried GP in the region for six and a half years. I am now a GP partner in Droitwich and my interests include teaching, training and research. Outside of medicine I enjoy running, seeing friends and family and spending time with my husband and our two children – we particularly enjoy going on holiday and getting out as much as we can!

I am currently a GP partner at Spring Gardens Medical Practice and have worked in Worcester since 2003. I also work as a GP Appraiser, GP Mentor and previously as a GP Trainer, I joined the LMC in 2023 , I feel committed to improving retention of doctors and maintaining the quality of patient care in the area.

GP Partner at Upton surgery and LMC rep for Upton and Malvern since 2007. I have a clinical interest in dermatology previously having worked as a clinical assistant. Outside of work I am a keen runner and cyclist.
Dr Bobbie Drinkwater

I’m Bobbie Drinkwater, a GP Partner at Churchfields Surgery in Bromsgrove. I have been a partner at the practice since March 2022. I completed my GP training in the North Worcestershire area from 2016-2022. In my spare time I enjoy reading between juggling my 3 children.
Dr Ian Haines
Redditch Constitiuency
I have been with the LMC since 2014, initially as a co-opted member and then as the Redditch representative. I am passionate about the work that we do on the LMC to protect and advocate for GP’s in the local area, which in doing so, has the implication of enhancing patient care. I represent the views of local GP’s, facilitating the effective communication between the council and local practices, as well as collaborating with healthcare professionals and policy makers to drive improvements in primary care services. It is through this advocacy, support and exchange of information that we contribute to improving the services locally

I have been a GP partner in Bromsgrove since 2022 and previously worked in Kidderminster since qualifying as a GP in 2016. I undertook my GP training in North Worcestershire. I live near Droitwich & have 3 children who keep me busy outside of work.

I graduated in 2008. I completed GP training in Stourport in 2013 and have worked here as a GP since then. As well as working at the surgery I work on the Wyre Forest Ward in Kidderminster. I have been an elected member of the LMC since June 2014.

I qualified from Birmingham University in 2010 and completed GP training in the South Worcestershire VTS scheme in 2016. I have been a salaried GP at Corbett Medical Practice since qualification. I am currently on the retainer scheme while my children have been in nursery and while my husband has completed his Anaesthetics training. We have now settled down just outside Worcester and both our extended families have also moved locally. I am thrilled to be a part of the LMC and representing the views of local colleagues. Outside of work, I enjoy chasing around my children and I’m addicted to jigsaw puzzles.

After a background training in General surgery, I became a GP Partner in 2008, based in Stourport on Severn in Worcestershire.
As Chair of the local GP association I led a merger of 6 practices in the Wyre Forest to form the Wyre Forest Health Partnership.
I am the Clinical Director for Wyre Forest Health Partnership PCN and part of the Clinical Director leadership team for Worcestershire.
I am also the Digital Clinical Lead for Primary Care and a member of the ICB Board.
My main focus is on integrated care, working with local communities, improving representation of General Practice as a provider and quality improvement within Primary Care.
